People who are used to calorie counting diet can be reluctant to try something like the Dukan diet that is radically different. If you are unsure how the Dukan diet is different to other diets then here are the two main differences:
You don’t feel hungry on the Dukan diet
Due to the high protein content of the diet you will feel fuller for longer after you eat. People used to think that an equal number of calories eaten as either fat, carbohydrate or protein would make a person feel just as full and satisfied for just as long. This is not the case. 200 calories eaten as protein, for example some grilled chicken, will keep a person fuller for much longer than say 200 calories of fat, eaten as a handful of peanuts.
