If you are training for anything that requires endurance, for instance, a triathlon, than this is not the time to go low-carb. There is a method to determine how many carbs you need for day if you are training. In order to determine how many carbs you needs per day for training, you need to multiply your body weight by 3.2. For example, if you weigh 130 you should be taking in 416 grams of carbohydrates per day. If you find this formula to be a bit tense you could consume 60 percent of your total calories as carbs.
